3D&D: Dungeons & Dragons RPG Meetup and Making

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Event Details

Learn the game, stay for the adventure....

Come meet the Danbury Library’s Dungeon Master in our new MakerLab, and help him in creating a world that you, the player, can interact with. Players go on adventures while working together to complete quests, slay monsters, and 3D print their fantasy characters, dragons, monsters and an icosahedron aka polyhedron - a 20 sided die!

Dungeons & Dragons is a pen and paper RPG (Role Playing Game). The game uses a series of dice to help gauge how successful characters and monsters are at achieving their various goals. The game doesn’t require anything other than a few books, paper and pencils, some dice and your imagination. During these meet-ups players will get a chance to create and design their own 3D characters, dice and dragons! They will be able to 3D print these via the Lulzbot 3D printers located inside the Dungeon aka Danbury Library’s MakerLab!

The Dungeon Master uses evocative descriptions to make the game come alive; and players then decide their characters’ actions. The possibilities are endless!  New Players Are WELCOME!
