Russian matryoshka dolls, often painted to depict peasants, have become an icon of Russian culture. The bright colors, distinctive shapes, and imaginative concepts have delighted generations of children and are thoroughly recognizable to young and old alike. In  this presentation, you will learn about the story of the nesting doll that extends well beyond the well-known Russian dolls of the 20th century.

The Museum of Russian Icons inspires the appreciation and study of Russian culture by collecting and exhibiting icons and related objects; igniting the interests of national and international audiences; and offering interactive educational programs.

FREE! Registration is required.
