Have you ever daydreamed about finding a long lost masterpiece in your attic or at a local tag sale? While cataloging artwork at The Hartley Dodge Foundation in Madison, NJ, art historian Mallory Martillaro uncovered something nobody ever expected - a masterpiece that had been lost to the art world since the 1930’s. After a year of research the piece was authenticated as an official work by Auguste Rodin, and became one of the biggest art discoveries in recent history!

Join us as Mallory shares her tale of how a simple art cataloging project evolved into a search for a mysterious piece’s provenance, and the media sensation that followed! Ms. Mortillaro serves as the Curator of Collections for The Hartley Dodge Foundation and balances her work as an Art Historian with teaching 7th grade English.
