6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Event Details

Please Note: This is a virtual program via Zoom. Participants will receive a link to the program via email upon completing registration.

What makes a successful sketch? Knowing drawing basics and being unafraid to make mistakes. In this class Susan Jackson will teach how sketching is the ‘figuring out’ of a drawing: the roughs, the ideas, the problem solving. With pencils and erasers only, we will make realistic or fanciful sketches that can be left as is or developed into color rendering. We will learn about line, tone, shading, shape and composition.

Susan is the owner of Georgetown School of the Arts and is passionate about teaching sketching as a fun and relaxing way to draw.

Materials: #2 pencil and white paper or sketchbook.

FREE! Registration is required. Limited to 15 participants.
