Event Details

What we put in our mouths profoundly impacts our health... for good or for ill. Plant-based foods (very low in fat, high in nutrients, antioxidants, fiber, and healthy plant proteins) are optimal for our physical, emotional, and cognitive health. They drive down systemic inflammation, keep us lean and active, slow down aging, and and they keep beneficial gut bacteria happy and working on our behalf. A diet rich in unprocessed plant foods strengthens out bodies' innate abilities to stay healthy, lose weight, and recover from illness if we've been stricken by a very long list of diverse chronic diseases, including heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, obesity and many autoimmune conditions. Through a cooking demonstration you'll learn how to make a zesty, colorful mixed bean chili, containing no added fats, oils, nuts, refined flours or gluten. You'll sample, go home with recipes, and learn how to use this no-oil cooking technique in your own kitchen.
Presented By:Cathy Katin-Grazzini, plant-based chef, cooking instructor, nutritional coach, food blogger, and owner of Cathy's Kitchen Prescription LLC in Ridgefield. Cathy's mission is to create original plant-based dishes and translate traditional ethnic cuisines into versions that are delicious, beautiful, and entirely health-promoting. Visit her website at
