Aging Mastery Program with the YMCA

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Danbury Library
Farioly Program Room
On average an adult at age 65 can expect to live another 19 years with roughly 66% of the time in good health.  This opens years of opportunity for new experiences and improved well-being during this new time in your life.  The Aging Mastery program encourages taking small steps towards improving your health and well-being to make life more fun and meaningful.  You'll set small goals and find new pathways that lead to feeling better today and staying healthy for the future.  You may even win some small prizes along the way and you'll enjoy some healthy snacks too.

Join us for this new program partnership with the Regional YMCA of Western CT.  During the 10 weeks of programs, you'll be engaged in conversations with panels of community experts and hear new information on a host of interesting topics that may include healthy eating habits, exercise, sleep, healthy eating and hydration, medication management, and more.  On the 11th week, you'll enjoy a "graduation" celebration!

Aging Mastery is a National Council on Aging program and coordinated in Connecticut by CT Community Care, Inc. and sponsored in part by the CT Community Foundation to empower participants to set individual goals and achieve measurable improvements in managing their health and remaining economically secure.  The FRIENDS of the Danbury Library has provided partial funding support for this program.

We know unexpected circumstances can arrive but we ask that you plan to attend all 10 sessions and the final graduation.  If we have to cancel a class due to the weather, we will add additional weeks in May to cover the program material.    For more details about the program, contact Maureen Farrell, YMCA Director of Community Wellness at 203.740.3432 x 236.
