This special summer camp will be facilitated by Patrice Gans, Founder & Executive Director of Random Hacks of Kindness, Jr.  The week-long camp will be an introduction to coding while connecting with like-minded girls to build community and to design and code a computer science impact project.  Students will participate in virtual daily coding lessons of 1 ½ hours on Google Meet Learning Scratch.  Each session will begin with an ice breaker followed by a structured coding activity and ending with discussion and sharing of the day’s project. Students with strong coding skills will be providing appropriate tutorials to expand their existing knowledge.  Additional resources will be provided as needed.  No prior computer coding experience required.
