Children ages 8 - 11 are invited to a STEM workshop by local teacher and Author, Sterling Miller. Mr. Miller has writen an interactive adventure novel,Treasure Protectors Inc. A STEM-Fiction novel to excite kids into studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in middle and high school.
To celebrate the release of the book, Mr. Miller is hosting a STEM workshop with hands on demonstrations, including how to use augmented reality with the book Treasure Protectors, Inc. A STEM-Fiction Novel.
According to Kevin
Bonsour on How Stuff Works, "This new technology, called augmented
reality, blurs the lines between what's real and what's computer-generated by
enhancing what we see, hear, feel and smell. Augmented reality adds graphics, sounds, haptic feedback and smell to the
natural world as it exists."
The first 20 children to register for either the 3:30 or 4:30 presentation and to attend the workshop will receive a free copy of the book. Registration is required.
