**This workshop was rescheduled from Tuesday, April 17
Experiment with sight and sound in this audio/visual workshop on the science of sound.
Particularly suited for the young minds and ears, electronics wizard and musician Thom Uliasz will bring in a bunch of devices to illustrate both audibly and visually what sound is, how it’s created, how it moves through the air and how it is received in the ear.
Starting with the humming vibrations of everyday objects and working up through
electronic reproduction, we’ll experiment with a variety of noisemakers. Kids especially will enjoy seeing the waveforms created by their own voices on modified TV sets and having their voices digitally sampled and playing them back on a keyboard.
FREE. Ages 7 and up. Registration is Required.
