Part II: The Battle against Fake News continues....


In the second part of this informative seminar will focus on examining our own biases in order to better understand bias in media, an examination journalistic truth, what makes evidence reliable, and the ways in which the presentation of data is manipulated to

mislead in order to build our capacities to critically consume and responsibly
share information we encounter.

Presented by Jacquelyn Whiting who is a Google Certified Innovator focused on medial literacy and an educator with 25 years experience in public high schools in Connecticut. She is certified in both social studies and library media. She has presented at ISTE and AASL as well as guest appearing regularly on webinars produced by edWeb.net. News Literacy: The Keys to Combating Fake News, the book she co-authored, is due out in May 2018.
