Welcome Our New Student!  Hello, My name is:  Woodly Wiley Pierre A story by Wilhelmine Bellevue, Illustrated by Mary Delaney.

"Woodly Wiley Pierre was not your ordinary 3rd grader.  She was as tall as a fifth grader and outlined like a pear.  Her  skin the color of garden soil on a warm summer's day.. "

Author Wilhelmine Bellevue  aka Willow B. invites children ages 9 and up to hear the story of an immigrant girl who arrives in her new school from Haiti.  She doesn't look, dress, speak or even eat like anyone else in her new school  She wonders how she will ever find acceptance.

Many children will relate to this pertinent topic which has been so much in the forefront.  Join us to hear of one child's struggle in a new school in America.  Registration is suggested, but walk-ins will be accepted.
